The Hospice and Palliative Credentialing Center will be closed from December 25, 2024, through January 1, 2025. During this time, HPCC staff will be unavailable.
If you are a certificant working toward renewal, a December 2024 tester, or a March 2025 exam candidate, please read the important information below.
Important Information
Completing the Situational Judgment Exercise (SJE) is a required part of renewal for ACHPN® and CHPN® certificants. Once an SJE is completed, an HPCC staff member must manually add it to a certificant’s learning plan.
- Complete your SJE by December 20, 2024, to ensure it is added to your learning plan before the HPCC office is closed.
- SJE scores will not be entered into learning plans until January if the SJE is completed after December 20, 2024.
- If your certification expires between 12/20/24 and 1/1/25, you cannot submit for renewal until the SJE score is entered into your learning plan.
All learning plans submitted between December 24, 2024, and January 1, 2025, will be reviewed, in the order that they were received when the HPCC staff returns to the office.
- Learning plans will be reviewed within 30 business days of January 2, 2025.
- Individuals who select expedited review will have their learning plans reviewed within five business days of January 2, 2025.
Please log in to your HPCC account and confirm your username and password are working (write your login information down in a safe, secure place to ensure you can access your account on the day of your exam). If you forget your HPCC account password or are locked out of your account, you cannot take your LRP exam.
If this happens, HPCC will waive the transfer fee for you to take your exam in the next testing window.
- To move to the next testing window, you must complete a transfer form indicating why you were unable to test.
For technical issues related to your LRP exam, contact PSI 833-256-1422.
- PSI cannot reset your account and/or password to give you access to the exam.
If you miss your scheduled exam and do not cancel it at least 24 business hours before the start of the exam, you will forfeit your exam fees and have to submit a new application to test.
You may reschedule an appointment for an examination at no charge by calling PSI at 833-256-1422 or rescheduling online. You must cancel your current exam and reschedule at least 24 business hours before the start of the exam.
- You may transfer your registration to the next testing window by completing a Transfer Application and submitting it to PSI at amppsiexamservices@psionline.com.
- If you miss your scheduled exam and do not cancel it at least 24 hours before the start of the exam, you will forfeit your exam fees and will have to submit a new application to test.
