The HPNA Annual Assembly Planning Committee develops nursing education for the Annual Assembly of Hospice & Palliative Care.
The Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) Committee is responsible for assisting and advising the HPNA Board of Directors in developing an organizational culture that values the diversity of thought and perspective delivered by an inclusive organization.
The HPNA Education Review Committee (ERC) reviews and provides feedback on educational materials. These materials include learning modules, printed materials, slides, and other educational offerings.
The HPNA Advocacy Advisory Committee is responsible for the evaluation of legislative issues pertinent to the membership and coordination of HPNA’s advocacy efforts. Members of this committee also monitor, identify, and address professional issues significant to members of the association for potential policy improvement and strategic collaboration.
The HPNA Awards Selection Committee reviews applications submitted by HPNA members for the HPNA Awards Program. Additionally, it makes recommendations to the HPNA Board for award recipients. Members of this committee complete a two-year term.
The HPNA Fellows Engagement and Selection Committee reviews applications for the HPNA Fellow in Palliative Care Nursing Program. It makes recommendations to the HPNA Board of Directors for recipients of this designation. The committee additionally makes suggestions for application updates.
The HPNA Conference Planning Committee develops nursing education for the HPNA Annual Conference.
The HPNA Self-Assessment Exam Review Committee reviews questions for certification practice exams.
Each HPNA State Ambassador is responsible for the evaluation of legislative issues pertinent to the membership and coordination of HPNA’s advocacy efforts. This group also acts independently to collaborate with organizations to address hospice and palliative care issues at the national, state, local, and regional levels.
The Membership Engagement Committee meets to discuss items relating to HPNA membership and opportunities to grow engagement. Members of this committee complete a two-year term.
The Research Advisory Committee reviews requests for research initiatives. This work includes reviewing research-based awards and scholarships. The committee additionally engages in research educational programs for HPNA members. It also contributes to the tri-annual HPNA Research Agenda process and completes/approves all QI/Program Evaluation/Research Study requests.
