Robert is an assistant director and nurse practitioner for Bellevue Hospital, the oldest public hospital in the country.  He is currently co-chair for the Palliative Care Council for New York City's Health and Hospitals, one of the largest public hospital systems in the country.  He has worked in the field of hospice, pain management, and palliative care for over 20 years.  Robert also teaches communication in the SIM center at the NYU College of Nursing and ethics at the NYU School of Medicine.  He is active in the palliative care nursing profession by serving on the Annual Assembly planning committee, 2019 Clinical Practice Forum Planning Committee, participating in HPNA nationally and at the local chapter level in New York, and organizing a regional palliative conference in New York City for the past 8 years that has educated hundreds of nurses, social workers, and doctors on various topics in palliative care.
