Webinar: Spiritual, Cultural, and Direct Care Aspects at End

Spiritual, Cultural, and Direct Care Aspects at End of Life

Tuesday, January 28, 2020
3:00-4:00 p.m. EST

A key interdisciplinary component of caring for patients and families with serious illness is to assess and address spiritual, religious, and existential dimensions of care. Therefore, it is essential that we as providers facilitate compassionate, patient and family-centered care that respects specific spiritual beliefs and practices, especially at and after the time of death. This webinar provides learners with a framework for assessment and management of the spiritual and cultural aspects of care for patients and families nearing life's end. Additional activity resources include how we as providers manage our grief and sustain resilience enabling us to continue this compassionate work.
