Ethical & Clinical Considerations Treating Infections at EOL
RN Learning - Ethical & Clinical Considerations Treating Infections at End of Life, presented by Joanna Kozlowski, BSN, RN-BC, CHPN, CHPCA.

The presentation will help increase knowledge on recognizing common obstacles providers face in treating infections, and help learners navigate the decision-making process for antibiotic treatment of an infection at the end of life. This course is offered to all interested participants as a continuing education service with no course attendance fee.

Ms. Kozlowski has been in the hospice industry for the past 16 years, and is currently the Senior Director of Clinical Services at Hospice and Palliative Care Charlotte Region, where she served in a variety of roles including Case Manager, Referral Center, and After Hours. She began her hospice career at the Hospice of Buffalo as an Admissions Nurse and Assistant Team Manager. She has been certified as a CHPN since 2015 and as a CHPCA since 2017, serves on HPNA's RN Advisory Council, and is the current president of HPNA's Piedmont, North Carolina Chapter.
