This presentation provides a framework to explore the impact of moral distress and its relationship to the learner's self-care and resilience. This presentation will help reflect on the impact of moral distress on his or her individual practice. It will offer strategies to help change that practice by applying evidence-based strategies to mitigate the impact of moral distress within their distinct practice setting to improve quality outcomes.

Dr. Whitehead is a Clinical Nurse Specialist with the Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital Palliative Care Service and Assistant Professor at the Virginia Tech Clarilion School of Medicine.
