APRN Learning - Regulatory Issues and the APRN
Presented by Marian Grant, DNP, ACNP-BC, ACHPN, FPCN.

Those participating in this activity will learn how palliative care can contribute to federal health policy priorities, know more about key regulations affecting palliative care and palliative care APRNs, and discover more about the impact of opioid policies on serious illness.

Dr. Grant is the Senior Regulatory Advisor for the Coalition to Transform Advanced Care (CTAC), and a consultant for the Center to Advance Palliative Care (CAPC), Community Health Accreditation Partners (CHAP), and the Cambia Foundation and Health Solutions. Dr. Grant is also a palliative care nurse practitioner at the University of Maryland Medical Center and is an adjunct faculty at the University of Maryland and Johns Hopkins Schools of Nursing. In 2014, she was selected as a Robert Wood Johnson Health Policy Fellow. Dr. Grant is a Fellow in Palliative Care Nursing and has served on the HPNA Board of Directors, been faculty for the End-of-Life Nursing Education Consortium (ELNEC), and speaks nationally and internationally on palliative care. Before becoming a nurse, she had a career in marketing at the Proctor & Gamble Company and worked on the Max Factor and Cover Girl cosmetics brands.
