The Hospice and Palliative Nurses Foundation (HPNF) has released a statement in recognition of National Hospice and Palliative Care Month and in honor of our dedicated nurse members. This statement was envisioned to create a discussion about a new definition and perspective about healing. This healing occurs outside the realm of cure. This healing involves addressing multiple components of serious illness including pain, loneliness, role changes, loss of independence, and grief.
Your gift can help empower hospice and palliative nurses nationwide. If you're in the giving spirit, HPNF would greatly appreciate your support.
The Hospice and Palliative Nurses Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that provides professional development opportunities to qualified members of the hospice and palliative care team. We depend on the generous spirit of donors to financially support our mission.
In conjunction with the release of the above statement, HPNF encourages you to upload your photo inside the 'I am a Healer' banner, seen below. To show our support for hospice and palliative nurses, and to increase awareness and understanding of our specialty, HPNF may utilize your photo on social media and in other HPNA marketing. After creating your photo, please share it on social media to increase your impact, using the hashtag #healinghappens.
