Employer Partner Program
Support Your Nursing Care Team with Professional Development and Educational Opportunities
The Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association and the Hospice and Palliative Credentialing Center created the Employer Partner Program to partner with employers and support their nursing care teams through education and certification. The highly successful HPCC Employer Supporter Program, created in 2001 to highlight those supporting certification, has now merged into the Employer Partner Program to offer those supporting programs additional opportunities.
According to Ginger Marshall, CEO of both organizations as well as HPNF, "By supporting hospice and palliative nursing education and certification among its staff, these employers are advancing the quality of care available to the thousands of people who need pain management and end-of-life nursing services each year."
Education and certification are ways to help validate the competence and knowledge of the nursing staff and the Employer Partner Program is a way to help focus greater attention on the importance of nursing in the delivery of hospice and palliative care services. To qualify for participation, employers must guarantee a minimum of 10 HPNA memberships, 10 HPCC certification exams, and/or 10 POLARIS packages over a 12 month period
