HPNA Standards for Clinical Education

The Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association first published a Standards for Clinical Education in 2005, as a way to define the basic standards and criteria needed to promote quality palliative nursing education.  Since then, the field of palliative care has advanced, and our original document needed to be updated to help identify those advancements.  Created by nurses for nurses, the second edition of the Standards of Clinical Education helps identify palliative nursing and specific types of clinical experiences in the field.  The full document is available online through the link below.
If you have any specific questions about the HPNA Standards of Clinical Education, please do not hesitate to contact us at info@hpna.org or by calling 412-787-9301.
