HPNA Policy Statements

The COVID-19 pandemic continues to have an extreme and unanticipated impact on hospice and palliative care, including unprecedented innovations in telehealth for hospice and palliative nurses. Additionally, numerous pieces of legislation and new regulations surrounding telehealth continue to be proposed at the federal level. Given these facts, HPNA staff worked closely with its lobbying firm and engaged its State Ambassador Program members and Advocacy Advisory Committee to develop a comprehensive Telehealth Policy Statement. This important statement serves as a guiding document for members and helps to shape future advocacy efforts of the association.
