After passing an examination, an individual is certified for four years. The renewal process at HPCC is called the Hospice and Palliative Accrual for Recertification (HPAR), which requires fulfilling practice or work hour requirements and accumulating required points through various professional activities. All activities are added and submitted online through your LearningPlan in our LearningBuilder software. CHPLN® certificants have the option of using HPAR or testing to renew. All CHPNA®s must test to renew their credential.

This includes but is not limited to your email signature, on your lab coat, employment badge, or social media profiles. HPCC conducts periodic reviews for any misuse of its credentials. If fraudulent use is found, you will be notified, and immediate action will be required.
