Palliative Care APRN Fellowships

There are few Palliative Care Fellowships for the APRN. Moreover, currently there is not established criteria for Palliative Care fellowships. All occur within an academic setting; usually within a teaching hospital or a collaboration with a school of nursing. Therefore fellowships have different objectives either rooted in developing APRN staff for a palliative care service or promoting leadership within palliative nursing. HPNA is developing new standards for clinical palliative nursing education inclusive of observerships, practicums, preceptorships, internships, residencies, and fellowships. In the future, APRN Palliative Care Fellowship programs will listed as to their accordance to these standards. While every attempt has been made to verify current information on the fellowships listed, programs may change application requirements and other details of their fellowship. This listing is current as of May 1, 2015.

For more information, clarification, queries, or program updates, please contact: Connie Dahlin ANP-BC, ACHPN, FPCN, FAAN, Director of Professional Practice at connied@hpna.org.
